Malty and Bitter Quotes "If you ever reach total enlightenment while drinking beer, I bet it makes beer shoot out your nose." "Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed - Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, 'It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver."

At the Taps Check out ontapnow.com for day to day updates in the beer line up. Fall, Fall, Fall!!!! The Rotweizen, a toasted red wheat ale fermented with the Hefe yeast, resulting in rich (almost Bock-like) maltiness and of course the light banana/clove/yeast flavors. Schwartzweizen (black wheat) will be coming down the pipe. It also plays around the El Hefe fringes only with lots of chocolate and toasted malts. Bonny Betty Williams Scottish Ale is an “80 shilling”-style ale with lots of malty goodness and should be on tap some time on October. Up to bat soon is our Fouch Hill Dark Ale; it’s a British Mild-style Ale that only clocks in at about 4.0%abv, but is packed full of rich toasted, chocolate and caramel malt flavors. Fall at Grizzly means Belgians!! DubbelHop Ale is not a Belgian Dubbel Ale, but a big, earthy, hoppy, fruity and yeasty beer. Also for Fall will signal the return of Biere D’ Automne, a rich mix of malt, fruit and oh-so yummy spice!! For the week of Holloween we will have our spooky Klevenkop Pumpkin Ale, a cask conditioned treat with spices and roasted pumpkin!! And what would Autumn be without Oktoberfest?! Our Oktoberfest Lager is a malty beer with a light hop character and a slight fruity note. In late September and early October, enjoy one of our beers in a Oktoberfest logo pint glass for 5.00!! Also check out our Oktoberfest dinner specials!!! Also, we will be having an outside Oktoberfest celebration on September 10th and 11th. Great beer, food and live music!!! See you around the taps! -Duncan |
